Sweden international Yasin Ayari has officially joined Brighton from AIK, as announced by the Premier League club on Monday. The 19-year-old midfielder has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract, which will keep him at Brighton until 2027. Last season, Ayari made a notable impact at AIK, scoring four goals in 24 league appearances. He recently earned his senior Sweden debut in a 2-0 victory against Finland earlier this month.

Brighton’s technical director, David Weir, expressed enthusiasm about Ayari’s arrival, stating, “Yasin is a versatile and technical midfield player, who’s good on the ball and capable of playing across the midfield.” He added that Ayari had an impressive stint with AIK and that the club is pleased to have completed the transfer. Weir acknowledged that Ayari will need time to adjust to the Premier League but emphasized the club’s eagerness to work with him.

Currently, Brighton is sixth in the Premier League and recently advanced to the fifth round of the FA Cup after defeating Liverpool on Sunday.
