British broadcaster Piers Morgan has hit out at Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta for claiming that the Gunners have one of the smallest squads in the Premier League.
Morgan questioned Arteta’s statement, particularly since Arsenal have not made any moves in the ongoing January transfer market.
Arteta had told the media ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League tie with Nottingham Forest on Tuesday that it wasn’t possible for the club to do any January deals, insisting that ‘they have one of the thinnest squads in the league.’
However, Morgan was not pleased with Arteta’s comments, as he took to his X account to slam the Spaniard.
“So, we’ve got one of the thinnest squads (incl no top striker) but won’t be doing anything about it? Sorry Mikel, but you’re talking incomprehensible nonsense,” Morgan wrote.
