Angola Coach Picks Nigeria and Ivory Coast as Favorites for 2023 AFCON Title

Angola’s coach, Pedro Gonçalves, has identified Nigeria and Ivory Coast as the top contenders to win the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. Gonçalves made this declaration ahead of Angola’s upcoming AFCON quarter-final match against Nigeria at the Stade Félix Houphouët Boigny in Abidjan. Speaking to Al-Hayat channel via Filgoal, Gonçalves expressed the challenging task his team faces against Nigeria and praised Peseiro, Nigeria’s coach, for achieving commendable results. Gonçalves also noted that Egypt, Morocco, Senegal, and Algeria, initially favored to win the tournament, had bid farewell to the competition.
