Tinubu will transform Akwa Ibom, Niger Delta like Lagos – APC’s Udofia

The All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate in Akwa Ibom State, Akanimo Udofia has expressed confidence of Bola Tinubu’s triumph in February.

Udofia stated that the APC presidential candidate would transform Akwa Ibom and make the South-South look like Lagos State.

The flagbearer said with the amount of human and natural resources in the region, the Niger Delta ought to be more developed than its current state.

Udofia noted that Tinubu’s leadership of the country would replicate his achievements as governor in other states.

“Is there anybody here who doesn’t know Lagos?” Udofia asked party supporters in Uyo.

“Our incoming president, the greatest Jagaban of our time, is coming to replicate the modern Lagos in Akwa Ibom State.”

Udofia boasted the APC would dethrone the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, because the people “are yearning for good governance, shared prosperity and sustainable development”.

Oil-rich Akwa Ibom is regarded as one of the “PDP States” due to the party’s successive victories in local and national elections since 1999.

The state is an interest battleground as Governor Udom Emmanuel is the Chairman of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) for presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.
