Following his instrumental role with the Super Eagles at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Finidi is taking a well-deserved rest. Notably, his substantial contribution led Nigeria to a commendable runners-up finish in the prestigious competition.
During Finidi’s absence, his assistant, Olanrewaju Yemi, has commendably assumed leadership, steering the team through two victories and three defeats in five matches under his guidance.
