Aliyu Zubairu, the head coach of El-Kanemi Warriors, was recently bestowed with an award of excellence in Borno State. The prestigious accolade was presented to the esteemed tactician by former Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, in recognition of Zubairu’s significant contributions to the sport in the region. Formerly at the helm of Gombe United, Zubairu currently leads El-Kanemi Warriors, with the team securing a commendable second position in the first round of the season. El-Kanemi Warriors is poised to resume action in the upcoming month, facing EFCC FC in the second round.
