Kano Pillars’ Ibrahim Mustapha shines as he clinches the prestigious Nigeria Premier Football League Player of the Month award for his outstanding performance in February. The talented forward netted four goals during the month, including a remarkable brace against Sunshine Stars at the iconic Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano. With this feat, Mustapha not only increased his season tally to seven goals but also reached a significant milestone of 60 career goals in the NPFL.

Facing tough competition from other top players like Chijoke Mbaoma, Godsgift Elkanah, Nenrot Silas, Nyima Nwagua, and Michael Tochukwu, Mustapha emerged victorious, showcasing his exceptional skills and prowess on the field. His remarkable contributions to Kano Pillars’ success have not gone unnoticed, earning him well-deserved recognition as the Player of the Month.

In a similar vein, Bayelsa United’s head coach, Meremu Okara, also made headlines by clinching the Coach of the Month award for the first time in his coaching career. Under his guidance, the Prosperity Boys embarked on a remarkable winning streak, securing three consecutive victories against Gombe United, Akwa United, and Doma United.
