The Pro‑Chancellor of Achievers University, Dr. Bode Ayorinde, urged new students not to hesitate in reporting any form of harassment or bullying to the school management. Speaking at the 16th matriculation ceremony on Friday, he emphasized that students should not suffer in silence and should be bold in bringing any misconduct to the authorities, noting the university’s zero‑tolerance policy for indiscipline.

During the ceremony, 891 students took the matriculation oath on the university’s Owo campus. Dr. Ayorinde affirmed that the university community does not tolerate bullying or harassment and described the institution as a free society. “Our lecturers are like parents; there is no sexual harassment or ‘sex for marks’ at this university,” he said. He highlighted that Achievers University has graduated over 6,000 students in the past 15 years, many of whom are succeeding in various endeavors.

“You are here for transformation; pursue it with dignity. There is no room for laziness, and we do not sell our certificates, regardless of who you are. That is why our fees are modest—we aim to impact knowledge,” he added. He also called on parents to monitor their children’s movements and urged students to study diligently, obey school rules, and avoid fights.

Earlier, Acting Vice‑Chancellor Prof. Omolola Irinoye congratulated the new cohort, noting their good fortune in gaining admission. She promised that they would receive a top‑quality education that would enable them to compete globally. “You are here to learn, not to play. Attend your lectures on time and respect your lecturers,” she admonished.
