A renowned Nigerian clergy member and President of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has urged Nigerians to protect their votes in the upcoming general elections. He shared this advice through his official Twitter account, a statement that was made available to reporters by media correspondent Seunmanuel Faleye.
The Apostle also encouraged citizens to exercise their franchise in the 2023 elections, emphasizing that safeguarding the votes is essential to prevent rigging and other forms of manipulation. Suleman called on Nigerians to go en masse to their polling units, cast their ballots, and remain until the votes are counted and the results transmitted.
He stressed the importance of vigilance, advising voters to photograph and record every moment at the polling stations as evidence against possible tampering. “This coming election will be a deciding factor for generations unborn. We have never faced such a terrible situation, especially in the past few weeks. Go to your polling unit, vote, wait for it to be counted, capture and record everything, and let’s see how they can lie to us with figures,” he said. (NAN)
