Reality Star Phyna Laments Sabotage in Nollywood: Calls Industry “Insane”

Controversial reality star Josephina Otabor, better known as Phyna, has expressed her frustration with the level of sabotage within the Nigerian film industry, also known as Nollywood. Phyna, who gained fame after her role in the 2023 movie ‘Osato,’ has described the industry as “insane” and has even gone as far as saying she wishes she was not born in Nigeria.

Taking to her social media platform, Phyna vented her feelings, stating, “It seems like the Nollywood industry is also insane. Gosh, I’m exhausted, people just make things so difficult for others. I wish I was born somewhere far away from here.”

These candid remarks from Phyna shed light on the challenges faced by actors and filmmakers in Nollywood, highlighting the need for change and support within the industry. As an international audience, it is important to recognize the struggles and obstacles faced by artists in different parts of the world, including the vibrant and ever-evolving landscape of Nigerian cinema.
