The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared that the candidate with the most popularity among the aspirants vying for the party’s ticket will emerge as the flagbearer for the upcoming governorship election in the state. In a statement released to celebrate Easter and extend greetings to Christians, the ruling party assured that a fair and transparent process will be in place during the primaries scheduled for April 20. The party’s publicity secretary, Alex Kalejaye, emphasized that the APC in Ondo State has established itself as the most organized and viable political party in the region. Encouraging aspirants to maintain decorum and avoid making statements that could incite tension before the primaries, Kalejaye commended the dedication and loyalty of APC leaders and members in the state. “The Ondo State APC is grateful for the blessings we have received over the past seven years. We believe that based on economic and political indicators, the future holds promise for our state,” the statement highlighted. As the party celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ, symbolizing victory, they express hopes that this occasion will inspire a deeper sense of unity, patriotism, and love for the state among its members. With the promise of a level playing field for all aspirants, the APC in Ondo State looks forward to a successful and harmonious primary election process.
