In preparation for the upcoming governorship election in Ondo State, the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Tola Alabere, has expressed the party’s dedication to addressing the current challenges facing the state if they emerge victorious at the polls.
Speaking at a seminar organized for the media aides of PDP governorship aspirants in the state, Alabere emphasized the importance of unity within the party to effectively challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the lead-up to the election.
Alabere stressed the significance of party cohesion in achieving success at the polls, stating, “All of us are working for the PDP. This is because if your principals are not members of the PDP, you won’t be here today.” He further highlighted the need for aspirants to come together and support the eventual primary winner to present a strong front against the APC.
Addressing the media aides directly, Alabere urged them to focus their efforts on uniting the party rather than creating divisions among the aspirants. He cautioned against undermining fellow party members and emphasized the importance of standing united against the APC’s actions in Ondo State.
In conclusion, Alabere called on the media aides to consider the PDP’s campaign as their own project and to redirect their energy towards supporting their party rather than engaging in internal conflicts. By fostering unity and cooperation within the party, Alabere believes that the PDP can overcome the challenges in Ondo State and emerge victorious in the upcoming election.
