Iran Justifies Missiles and Drones Fired at Israel, Warns US to Stay Away

Iran’s Mission to the United Nations has issued a stern warning to the United States, asserting that the recent missile and drone attacks aimed at Israel were justified and urging the U.S. to “stay away” from the conflict. In a statement reported by Fox News, the mission emphasized that the confrontation is solely between Iran and the Israeli government, and the U.S. should not intervene.

The tension escalated as U.S. officials confirmed the ongoing interception of Iranian drones en route to Israel. A U.S. military official reiterated the commitment to defending Israel and protecting American forces in the region by neutralizing Iranian-launched drones.

Citing Article 51 of the UN Charter, Iran justified its military actions as a legitimate act of self-defense in response to an Israeli airstrike on the Iranian consulate in Syria, resulting in the deaths of several Iranian generals. The statement from Iran’s mission highlighted the retaliatory nature of the missile and drone attacks, attributing them to the Israeli regime’s aggression against Iranian diplomatic facilities in Damascus.

While Israel has not officially acknowledged its involvement in the consulate attack, Iran warned that the retaliatory strike could be considered a closed chapter. However, any further provocations from Israel would elicit a significantly harsher response from Iran.

The situation remains tense as the geopolitical dynamics in the region continue to unfold. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
