Naja’atu Mohammed, a former director of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, claimed on Monday morning that First Lady Aisha Buhari is part of the cabals operating in Aso Rock. Her remarks came during an appearance on the Arise TV Morning Show and followed Governor Nasir El‑Rufai’s statement that certain Aso Rock cabals were working to thwart the victory of APC presidential candidate Bola Tinubu in the upcoming elections.
Unlike El‑Rufai, Mohammed said she was not afraid to name individuals. “Let me tell you, one of the cabals is Aisha Buhari,” she asserted. She noted that the late Abba Kyari also headed a cabal and criticized Aisha Buhari for previously speaking about cabals without naming anyone. “For the first time in Nigeria, I am naming names,” Mohammed declared.
Mohammed added that Buhari’s comments reinforced El‑Rufai’s claim about “the cabals in the villa.” She emphasized that, although she is trained to keep details confidential, she believes it takes courage to disclose the names of those involved. Further details will follow.
