A former director of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, Naja’atu Mohammed, has accused the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, of “goofing at every campaign.” Speaking on the Arise TV Morning show on Monday, Mohammed—who resigned from the APC a few weeks ago—said, “One of the things that I said about Asiwaju is about corruption and perjury. It was Festus Keyamo in 1999 who sued the Lagos State Government’s attempt to clear Asiwaju of perjury, taking the case all the way to the Supreme Court.”

She continued, “We are talking about integrity; people are changing. He (Keyamo) wants Nigeria to forget everything he said about Asiwaju then. The clips of Asiwaju are there for everyone to see. Every campaign he attends, he goofs. In fact, people are whispering into his ear to tell him what to say.”

Mohammed also referenced a recent forum in London where Tinubu pointed to some APC chieftains to answer questions directed at him. “And for Nasir El‑Rufai, when they went to Chatham House in London, is it not true that some of the people were made to answer questions meant for Asiwaju? What else do Nigerians need to know that something is seriously wrong with Asiwaju?”

Details later.
