Tragic Event in Ado-Ekiti Over the Weekend as Man Stabs Wife to Death

In Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, a man reportedly killed his wife during an argument about suspected cheating. The sad event happened at their home on Christ Avenue either on Friday evening or Saturday morning.

Before the argument started, the couple had sent their older child out and locked their door. Only their younger child, who is about five years old, was at home with them.

Neighbours said the man, who works in law enforcement, and his wife, who worked at a chemist shop, used sharp objects like knives or bottles during their fight. The details are not clear.

When neighbours heard the noise and tried to help, they couldn’t get in because the door was locked. They had to remove part of the ceiling to enter the apartment. They found the couple badly hurt. The wife was unconscious and did not survive, even though she was quickly taken to the hospital.

The police are now involved, and the man is in the hospital under police watch while the investigation continues.
