In a series of tragic events, unknown gunmen have reportedly carried out separate attacks in Enugu State, resulting in the deaths of three police officers and one Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) personnel.

The first attack occurred at a police division in Umabor Eha-Alumona on Saturday night, where the gunmen targeted and killed two policemen.

In a separate incident, the assailants targeted HRH Igwe Patrick Eze, also known as Igwe Waziri, at Orba in Udenu Local Area of the State. Igwe Waziri, the traditional ruler of Egali Amalla Community in Udenu Local Area, narrowly escaped the attack, while a police officer and an FRSC personnel lost their lives.

Despite attempts to confirm these attacks, the Enugu State Police Command’s spokesperson, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, remained unavailable for comment when contacted.
