Mama G Reveals Root Causes of Incessant Deaths in Nollywood

Nollywood Actress Patience Ozokwor Blames Actress Deaths on Carelessness and Negligence

Renowned Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwor, popularly known as Mama G, has come forward to reveal the root cause of the numerous deaths among Nollywood actors, citing carelessness and negligence. This revelation comes after the recent demise of respected comic actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu.

In a recent statement in Lagos, Mama G lamented that many actors are more focused on their work than their own health, leading to reckless decision-making when it comes to seeking medical attention. "When you are doing something you are enjoying, you wouldn’t bother to take care of your health. Once there is life in you, you keep doing what you are doing. And it’s something that pays back on your body," she said.

The actress has even experienced this firsthand, claiming that she was so consumed by work that she neglected her own health for a while. "Some people are so careless that when they are sick instead of going to the hospital for a proper check-up, they prefer to visit a chemist or a pharmacy to buy a pain reliever. It’s no longer safe with me," Mama G added.

Mama G’s emotional breakdown at Mr. Ibu’s funeral was also a poignant moment that highlighted the gravity of the situation. Explaining her emotional response, she recounted the moment she realized that Mr. Ibu was truly gone, saying, "I broke down in tears. It’s not because I was expecting him to respond, but it was when I realized that this man is gone forever."

In a moving admission, Mama G revealed a personal encounter with her maker that has transformed her life. She explained how a divine voice called her to separate from the world for 30 days, citing a period of intense spiritual work that changed her life. After appearing on stage to share her testimony, Pastor and evangelists began to invite her to their programs, leading her to become an evangelist.

Mama G is urging her colleagues to prioritize their health and curtail habits that are detrimental to it. Her words serve as a poignant reminder of the importance of self-care, especially in the high-stress environment that is the entertainment industry.

This eye-opening revelation from Mama G marks a crucial moment in the conversation about actress deaths in Nollywood.
