85 South’s Big Business Comedy Tour: Unapologetic Humor and Healing Energy

The comedy trio 85 South, consisting of DC Young Fly, Chico Bean, and Karlous Miller, is taking the stage by storm with their Big Business Comedy Tour. In a recent stop in Newark, NJ, the group showed no hesitation in pointing out multiple people in the crowd to crack a few jokes. Their unapologetic humor has fans in stitches, and they’re using their comedy as a way to bring people together and provide a sense of healing.

In a backstage interview with VIBE, the trio spoke about the challenges they face as comedians, including being canceled for their humor and dealing with sensitive fans. However, they’re unfazed by the possibility of being “canceled” and insist that their jokes are never malicious.

“We ain’t being facetious. We’ll never be facetious,” DC said, adding that they’re not concerned about offending anyone. “You seen all those people at the Prudential center; the show is packed. So can you imagine that sh*t not happening because one person got offended?”

The guys believe that their comedy is a form of healing energy, not only for themselves but also for their fans. DC, who lost the mother of his children last year, shared that he uses his “trauma as motivation” to keep going. Miller, 41, also shared how being funny is a “good” way to help people take their mind off of whatever they’re going through at home.

“When it be life situations, financial situations — just to be able to provide that escape — people depend on it,” he said. “Just knowing that they’re getting more than just a few seconds of laughter and you actually helping with the healing, it’s just amazing.”

The trio’s Big Business Comedy Tour is scheduled to hit the next set of cities, including Dallas, Memphis, Jacksonville, Charlotte, and more, before wrapping up on November 23rd in New Orleans, LA. Fans can grab tickets now and experience the unapologetic humor and healing energy of 85 South for themselves.

With their unique brand of comedy, 85 South is on a mission to bring people together and provide a sense of healing through laughter. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to experience their Big Business Comedy Tour and see what all the fuss is about.
