Lagos State Govt Seals Off Establishments for Environmental Violations
The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has sealed off several establishments for violating the state’s environmental laws in the Lekki Phase I area of the state.
According to a post shared on X.com by the state Commissioner, Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, the affected establishments, including Kingfisher, Red Lagos, Logic Church, and Bolivar, were found to be non-compliant with environmental laws despite prior warnings.
Wahab stressed that LASEPA’s action is part of its efforts to uphold environmental regulations and combat noise pollution. He wrote, “This proactive measure by LASEPA underscores its commitment to fostering a serene and sustainable environment that prioritizes cleanliness, safety, and environmental responsibility.”
This development comes months after the Lagos State Government also sealed off Landcraft Industries Nigeria and Word of Light Christ Ministry (Camp of Light) for noise and environmental pollution-related offenses.
