Little League World Series Final Set: Chinese Taipei to Face Florida

The Little League World Series has reached its final showdown, with Chinese Taipei set to face off against Florida in the championship game. The two teams earned their spots in the final after dominant performances in their respective semifinal matches.

Chinese Taipei capped off a stellar run in the international tournament, taking care of business against Venezuela with a 4-1 win. Pitcher Lai Cheng-Xi was dominant, striking out 12 across 5 1/3 innings and shutting down Venezuela’s offense. The team from Taoyuan City, Taiwan will attempt to take the World Series title on Sunday, with a win securing them as the first international team to win the world title since Japan did it in 2017.

Florida, on the other hand, completed a thrilling comeback to win the United States championship, defeating Texas 10-7. The team from Lake Mary, Florida (representing the Southeast region) and the team from Boerne, Texas (representing the Southwest) competed in a back-and-forth match, with Florida ultimately emerging victorious. The Lake Mary team will now face Chinese Taipei in the final, looking to bring home the Little League title.

The championship game is set to take place on Sunday, with the winner being crowned the new Little League World Series champion.
