Nicki Minaj Sued for $5 Million by Former Fan Tameer Peak

A barb has left the dollhouse, so-to-speak. Tameer Peak, a former fan of Nicki Minaj, has filed a lawsuit against the rapper, seeking $5 million in damages to his reputation, emotional distress, and loss of finances.

According to Peak, things took a turn for the worse in 2017 when Minaj accused him of being a “mole” sent to sabotage her. The two had an ugly exchange during an Instagram live session that was viewed by over 100,000 people. Peak claims that Minaj berated him during the session and that her husband, Kenneth Petty, physically battered him during Super Bowl 2020.

TMZ reports that in one session, Minaj allegedly wrote, “It’s clear they’re not necessarily, you know, a full basket umm at the picnic.” Peak took this to mean he was mentally unstable or intellectually deficient. In another instance, he claims Minaj accused him of being “one sandwich short of a picnic” and receiving a check from the government, implying he was on welfare.

Minaj’s attorney, Judd Burstein, has responded to the lawsuit, stating that Peak has been harassing Minaj on social media for years and has now graduated to seeking financial compensation through “manifestly false allegations and legally frivolous claims.” Burstein warns that Peak will regret his decision when he is forced to pay Minaj’s legal fees as required by California law.

The charges against Minaj have been filed in Los Angeles Superior Court. VIBE will provide more updates on this story as it develops.
