Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 5G Leak: Price, Specifications Revealed Ahead of Official Release

Tecno appears to be gearing up to unveil its next-generation foldable phone, the Phantom V Fold 2 5G. Ahead of the official release, an Indian tipster has leaked the price and specifications of the device. According to the leak, the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 5G will be available in two color options, Karst Green and Ripling Blue, and is expected to be priced between Rs. 75,000 to Rs. 80,000 in India.

The Phantom V Fold 2 5G is said to feature a 7.85-inch 3D LTPO AMOLED main display and a 6.42-inch external display. It will run on a MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset, the same processor that powered its predecessor. The phone is expected to come in a single 12GB RAM and 512GB storage variant and will ship with Android 14 out-of-the-box.

In terms of cameras, the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 5G is said to retain the same triple camera setup as the Phantom V Fold, featuring two 50-megapixel cameras and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera. The phone will also have 32-megapixel and 16-megapixel front-facing cameras and will be equipped with a 4,860mAh battery.

For comparison, the Tecno Phantom V Fold was released in India last year with a price tag of Rs. 88,888 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. The new device is expected to offer improved performance and features at a lower price point.

The Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 5G is expected to be a significant upgrade to its predecessor, offering a larger display, improved cameras, and faster performance. With its affordable price tag, the phone is likely to attract attention from budget-conscious consumers who are looking for a premium foldable device.
