20-year-old rescued from bandits in Zamfara

A 20-year-old man kidnapped on the 7th of February has been rescued and reunited with his family in Zamfara State.

The Police Tactical Operatives on a confidence building/rescue mission along Tsafe – Kucheri – Yankara road have successfully rescued Abdulrahman Abubakar, a native of Gwandu Emirate in Kebbi State from the hands of bandits.

The 20-year-old man who was kidnapped on the 7th of February has now been reunited with his family in Zamfara State.

The rescue of the resident is part of the Command’s ongoing efforts to stem the tide of kidnapping and other related crimes in Zamfara State.

During the debriefing of the victim, he informed the Police that he was abducted in Gwandu by unidentified people on a Motorcycle and taken to the forest where he spent three (3) days in captivity.

Police Spokesman, Mohammed Shehu said “The victim was taken to the Police clinic for a medical check and thereafter released to his family.
