The song’s success can be attributed to its widespread popularity across diverse markets, with Spotify data showing an impressive global reach. The top five countries streaming "Ojuelegba" are the United States, United Kingdom, France, Nigeria, and the Netherlands. Within Nigeria, Lagos stands out as the city streaming the song the most, particularly in August.

Okumu noted that the song has become a gateway for many international listeners into the world of Nigerian music, influencing artistes, fans, and industry insiders alike. The lyrics, which capture the essence of Wizkid’s journey, blending the vibrancy of Lagos street culture with a message of resilience and hope, have resonated with listeners of all ages.

Interestingly, the largest demographic of listeners in the past year has been aged 18-24, highlighting the song’s ongoing relevance to today’s youth. The song has also drawn significant interest from older listeners, with 23% of plays coming from individuals aged 25-29, and 13% from those aged 30-34.
