Hezbollah’s Deputy Head Promises Successor to Hassan Nasrallah, Continues Fight Against Israel

In the wake of Hassan Nasrallah’s tragic death, Hezbollah’s deputy head, Naim Kassem, has vowed to quickly select a successor and continue the Islamist militia’s decades-long battle against Israel. During a televised speech, Kassem emphasized that the group’s structure allows for swift replacement of senior members, as they already have deputies and qualified candidates.

Kassem, who wore black while seated in a closed room during the televised address, reassured viewers that Hezbollah is prepared for any scenario, including the possibility of a ground invasion by Israel. “We know the battle could be long, and we are ready for any possibility,” he said. “If Israel decides to launch a ground invasion, we are ready for a ground engagement.”

The Hezbollah leader also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the Palestinians in Gaza, stating that Israel would not be able to impact their military capabilities. His appearance on television refutes rumors that he was killed in the same strike that took Nasrallah’s life.

This development marks a significant step in the aftermath of Nasrallah’s death, as Hezbollah seeks to maintain its unity and momentum in the face of adversity. With Kassem at the helm, the group appears poised to continue its efforts to protect its interests and defend against Israeli aggression.
