Grief Strikes Departed Son of Former Nigerian Governor Ahmed Makarfi in Tragic Car Accident
The Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF) has expressed its condolences to former Governor Ahmed Makarfi of Kaduna State over the untimely death of his son, Faisal. Faisal, the eldest child of the former governor, passed away in a car accident on the Kaduna-Zaria highway on Saturday evening.
According to a statement issued by PDP-GF’s Director-General, Emmanuel Agbo, on Monday in Abuja, the forum’s Chairman, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, condoled with the Makarfi family, friends, and the people of Kaduna State over the irreparable loss. The party joined Makarfi, a former Chairman of the PDP National Caretaker Committee and incumbent Secretary of the party’s Board of Trustees, BOT, in mourning the loss of his son.
Faisal’s untimely passing is a tremendous blow to his family and friends, as he was known for living life to the fullest and making the most of every opportunity. As Governor Mohammed observed, Faisal’s life was marked by passion and a sense of purpose. He lived each day with enthusiasm and never took anything for granted.
In his statement, Governor Mohammed offered words of comfort to the Makarfi family, praying that they would find the strength to cope with this devastating loss. He also asked the family to take comfort in the knowledge that Faisal’s soul will be welcomed into eternal rest.
As the nation mourns the loss of this young man, our thoughts are with the Makarfi family, the people of Kaduna State, and all those who knew Faisal. May God grant them the peace and solace they need during this difficult time.
