Leaked Benchmark Results Suggest the Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset Could Be a Game-Changer
Qualcomm is set to unveil the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset at its annual Snapdragon Summit on October 21, and leaked benchmark results are generating significant excitement. The anticipated chip, initially thought to be called the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, is expected to deliver a substantial performance boost compared to its predecessor, according to leaked test results.
A purported Realme GT 7 Pro phone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip has obtained an impressive 3,025,991 points on the AnTuTu benchmark test. This remarkable score is significantly higher than Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro Max, which achieved 1,651,728 points. Notably, the Realme GT 7 Pro outperforms both MediaTek’s newly launched Dimensity 9400 SoC and Apple’s A18 Pro chip.
Tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer (@OnLeaks) collaborated with Smartprix to leak an image showcasing the Realme GT 7 Pro’s remarkable benchmark score. The image features the Realme GT 7 Pro alongside the iPhone 16 Pro Max, highlighting the substantial performance difference between the two handsets. It’s worth noting that the benchmark tool uses different APIs for Android and iOS, which might impact cross-platform comparisons.
Although the Realme GT 7 Pro isn’t the first device to break the 3 million mark on AnTuTu, its score surpasses the Vivo X200, which recently achieved 3,007,853 points with MediaTek’s 3nm Dimensity 9400 chipset. Qualcomm’s chip appears to have a slight edge over its competitor in these tests. Another flagship device, the Oppo Find X8, previously held the top AnTuTu score with 2,880,558 points, powered by the Dimensity 9400 chipset.
Based on these leaked results, the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip is shaping up to be a compelling contender in the world of high-performance mobile processors. Qualcomm’s official announcement next week will likely provide further insights into the capabilities of this cutting-edge chipset and what it means for the future of smartphones.
