Ruger Explains Why He Gets Booked More Than His Peers

Nigerian music sensation Michael Adebayo Olayinka, popularly known as Ruger, has shared his views on why he receives more show bookings than some of his industry colleagues. According to the artist, his popularity as a live performer stems from bringing his full personality to the stage rather than merely performing his songs.

Taking to his X account, Ruger explained that being a successful performer goes beyond having popular hits. He emphasized that some artists, despite having multiple hit songs, struggle to connect with their audience during live shows.

“Let me explain to you why I get booked so much. I don’t come on stage to sing (of which I know l’m so good at) I bring my whole fucking personality on stage it’s not a joke,” Ruger stated. “It’s not by having hit songs; you can have a million hit songs and still be clueless on stage at a 200-capacity venue.”

Ruger’s comments shed light on the importance of stage presence in the music industry and the impact it has on an artist’s career success.
