CBE FC of Ethiopia head coach, Heye Gizaw Birhanu, reckoned his players must give their best to get a positive result against Edo Queens.

The Ethiopians will head into the Group B encounter at the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League as the underdogs.

CBE will be competing in the competition for the first time after three failed attempts in the past.

Birhanu charged his players to prove they truly deserve to be at the competition.

“After three attempts, we are finally here and yes, it is a good thing,” he told a press conference.

“However, this should not be taken for granted; now that we are there, we must give the best of ourselves and continue to surpass ourselves.

“There is still a lot of work to be done. Qualifying first step, now we need to continue to compete.”
