Championship: Maja helps West Brom beat Hull City

Josh Maja was on target as West Bromwich Albion defeated Hull City 2-1 at the MKM Stadium on Sunday.

The visitors took the lead in the 12th minute after Karlan Grant smashed home from inside the box.

Maja doubled the advantage five minutes later scrambling home from close range after he was set up by Darnell Furlong’s header.

It was the forward’s ninth goal of the season for the Baggies.

Joao Pedro reduced the deficit for the home team five minutes before the break.

They were however unable to find the equalising goal.
