NNL: FC Basira appoint Lahaga new head coach

Peter Lahaga has been appointed the new head coach of Nigeria National League side FC Basira, Media Talk Africa reports.

Lahaga’s appointment was announced by the club’s chairman, Ahmed Usman Egye, on Monday.

Egye expressed high hopes for the appointment of the new tactician.

“The appointment of Peter Lahaga is our collective resolved to further strategise and shape the club by bringing more capable and experienced coaches to join hands in achieving our set targets,” Egye stated during Lahaga’s unveiling in Lafia City.

“His coaching experience with clubs like TSM FC Kaduna, KJ United, Delux FC of Jos and Nasarawa United enhanced his qualification to be considered for the role. So I welcome him into the FC Basira family and wish him the best.”

FC Basira are making their debut campaign in the 2024-25 Nigeria National League season.

They will compete in Group D of the Northern Conference.

FC Basira will take on Yobe Desert Stars in their opening fixture on Saturday, November 30.
