Ondo guber: Tinubu canvasses support for Aiyedatiwa

President Bola Tinubu has urged the people of Ondo State to vote en masse for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Saturday’s governorship election.

Vice President Kashim Shettima, who represented President Tinubu, at the finale of the APC governorship campaign in Akure, the state capital, led governors of the party, as well as ministers to solicit support for Aiyedatiwa and his deputy, Olayide Adelami.

According to him, APC deserves the votes of the people of Ondo State, going by the attention the state has been receiving.

“Your vote will be your voice, your convictions, and your message to those who underestimate the strength and will of the people of Ondo State.

“I’m bringing you good tidings from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He ought to have been here, but the exigencies of the office compelled him to ask the high-level delegation to come and represent him in the Sunshine State,” he said.

On his part, Aiyedatiwa stated that if his late boss, former Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu were to be alive, he would have been rooting for his victory on Saturday.

Present at the event were APC governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Abiodun Oyebanji (Ekiti) and Hope Uzodinma (Imo). Minister of Blue Economy Gboyega Oyetola, Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo and Minister of Youth Development Ayo Olawande were also there, as were senators Opeyemi Bamidele and Adams Oshiomhole, among others.
