Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke flagged off the “Imole Free Medical and Surgical Outreach” on Wednesday, an initiative organized by the University of Osun Teaching Hospital to mark his first 100 days in office. Speaking at the ceremony in Iwo, Adeleke reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering quality health care throughout the state. He emphasized that his government is ready to develop Osun and improve it beyond its current condition, with particular focus on upgrading all health‑care centres to promote healthy living.

“The current administration will prioritize the welfare of the masses, especially health‑care delivery, road rehabilitation, construction and infrastructural development,” the governor said. He announced that the first phase of the outreach will benefit no fewer than 18,000 people across the state’s nine federal constituencies.

In his remarks, the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Adewale Akanbi, praised the initiative, noting that it would save many less‑privileged individuals from untimely death.
