Edo Queens staged a dramatic comeback to beat holders Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1 in their last group game at the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League.

Sundowns took the lead through Melinda Kgadiete in the 24th minute.

The South Africans held the slender lead until the dying moments of the match before Emem Essien equalised.

Substitute Mary Mamudu scored the decisive goal in the last seconds of added time.

Edo Queens finished top of Group B with seven points from three games.

Moses Aduku’s side will face TP Mazembe of Congo Democratic Republic in the semi-final.

Hosts AS FAR and FC Masar will clash in the other last four tie.
