CAFWCL: TP Mazembe boss, Boumedhi relishes win over Edo Queens

TP Mazembe head coach, Lamia Boumedhi has discussed his side’s victory over Edo Queens.

The Congolese defeated Edo Queens 3-1 in their semi-final tie at the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League on Tuesday.

Emem Essien gave the Nigerian champions the lead on 59 minutes.

TP Mazembe however equalised on 90 minutes before scoring twice in extra-time.

“I am very happy and satisfied with this final result,” Boumedhi told reporters.

” I take this opportunity to congratulate my players who played a great match. They poured their hearts out and played with grit”.
