Ex-Argentina midfielder to become Messi’s new manager at Inter Miami

Former Argentina midfielder, Javier Mascherano is set to become the manager at Inter Miami FC.

This means that Mascherano will have the opportunity to coach his former Argentina teammate, Lionel Messi, at the Major League Soccer, MLS, club.

This was disclosed by football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano in a tweet on X on Friday.

“Javier Mascherano will be the new head coach of Inter Miami, as
@CLMerlo reports.

“Agreement done for the Argentine head coach who always had special friendship with Leo Messi.

“Documents being prepared,” Romano tweeted.

Mascherano will replace Gerardo “Tata” Martino, who recently left his post as head coach of Inter Miami.

Martino quit Inter Miami for personal reasons, with one year left on his contract.
