Naira redesign ill-advised, shun violent reactions – Kwankwaso tells Nigerians

The New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, presidential candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso, has insisted that the Naira redesign policy was ill-advised and timed.

Kwankwaso disclosed this in a statement posted on his verified Twitter handle on Thursday.

He expressed worries about reports of uprisings in some parts of the country over the effects of the policy.

The former Kano State Governor also called on Nigerians to maintain law and order and shun violent reactions.

“I’m concerned about reports of tensions and fracas in some parts of the country over the biting effects of the Naira redesign policy.

“While I maintain that the policy is ill-advised and timed, I call on all Nigerians to maintain law and order, and to avoid violent reactions. I also urge all of us to express our collective anger at the polls on February 25. Let us all endure, persevere and keep our country safe,” he wrote.
