Course officials for the 2024 batch ‘C’ Stream 1 orientation course, which started on Wednesday, have been admonished to treat the members of National Youths Service Corpse (NYSC) with love, care, empathy and courtesy.

Mrs Gladys Adama, State Coordinator of NYSC in Abia, gave the admonition on Tuesday during a pre-orientation camp meeting at the Umunna Bende NYSC Abia Orientation camp.

Adama, who called for synergy and application of emotional intelligence in handling the Corps members as they arrive camp, also warned the officials against over socialization, extortion and corporal punishment.

She, however, said that there should be no compromise in discipline.

Mrs Hellen Anyaeze, the Camp Director, in her own remarks, called for cooperation in mentoring the Corps members.

Captain E. T. Clement, the Camp Commandant, stated that security was everyone’s business and as such every observed security lapse should be reported to the security personnel for appropriate action.
