Players and officials of Super Falcons have started arriving the city of Angers ahead of the friendly against the Les Bleues of France.

Interim head coach, Justine Madugu summoned 20 players for the friendly.

The encounter is scheduled for the Stade Raymond Kopa, Angers, on Saturday night. It will kick off at 9.30 pm Nigeria time.

It will be fourth-ever meeting between Nigeria and France

France defeated the Super Falcons 1-0 in a group stage clash at the FIFA Women’s World Cup hosted by Germany in 2011.

The Europeans thrashed Nigeria 8-0 in a friendly inside Le Man’ Stade Marie Marvingt in April, 2018.

Les Bleues also defeated the West Africans by the same margin at the Roazhon Park when both sides clashed at the 2019 World Cup finals hosted by France.

The Super Falcons will use the friendly as part of their preparation for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
