Real Madrid’s official team bus was involved in a crash on the M40 motorway, less than 24 hours after the defeat to Liverpool in the Champions League.

The LaLiga champions lost 2-0 at Anfield, thanks to goals from Alexis MacAllister and Cody Gakpo.

But it seems their week went from bad to worse a few hours later.

A video clip that has gone viral, showed the branded coach in the back of a lorry, with slow-moving cars trundling past and getting a good look at the crash.

It appeared that only minor damage was done to both vehicles, with no one being harmed in the incident.

Madrid players will return back to base to prepare for this weekend’s league fixture against Getafe.
