The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Brigadier General YD Ahmed, has advised serving corps members against boarding vehicles by the roadside.

He also maintained his constant warning against corps members travelling at night or doing so without permission.

Ahmed spoke in Anambra State on Friday as he addressed corps members at Anambra State Orientation Camp, Mbaukwu, and Ebonyi State Orientation Camp in Afikpo.

He urged serving corps members to study their host communities, seek support from the residents and initiate laudable projects that would improve the standards of living of their hosts.

He said, “Avoid night travelling because of its dangers. Don’t board vehicles by the roadside and ensure you go to designated motorparks to board vehicles while travelling. ”

The DG called on the corps members to make long-lasting friends and relationships during the service year, encouraging them to use the service year to plan for a better future.
