EPL: Silva lauds Iwobi for selfless Christmas gesture

Fulham manager, Marco Silva has praised Alex Iwobi for his magnanimity towards the less privileged in East London.

Iwobi opened a temporary shop tagged ‘Alexpress’ where he gave out free food, including groceries and turkeys, to local residents.

Silva was happy with Iwobi’s action and described him as a “top guy”.

“Amazing. Helping people who don’t have the same conditions as you – it’s a great thing,” the gaffer told reporters.

“It doesn’t surprise me because Alex is a top guy and someone who cares about others.

“He should be proud of what he’s doing.”

Iwobi is expected to feature for Fulham in a Premier League clash against Chelsea on Thursday (today).
