The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has labeled as misleading the information circulating in certain media outlets that instructs Prospective Corps Members who have not yet received their Call-Up Numbers to visit the State Secretariats of the Scheme. The NYSC emphasized that the public should disregard such messages, as they did not originate from the organization.
Furthermore, the NYSC clarified that all communication between Prospective Corps Members and the Scheme occurs through individual dashboards and its officially approved social media platforms. In a statement signed by Caroline Embu, Acting Director of Information & Public Relations, the organization urged all Prospective Corps Members awaiting their Call-Up Numbers to remain patient. They should continue to check their dashboards and visit the NYSC’s social media platforms, including Facebook, X, Instagram, and Threads, for updates.
Additionally, Media Talk Africa reported that the NYSC recently refuted what it termed a misleading publication regarding a query issued to approximately 200 corps members. The Scheme denied claims that these corps members were questioned for not participating in a Christmas Carol.
