Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has excluded four players from his matchday squad for the Premier League match against Bournemouth on Tuesday night. The players left out are Axel Disasi, Carney Chukwuemeka, Ben Chilwell, and Cesare Casadei. This information was confirmed by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano through his X account.
Romano stated, “Christopher Nkunku and Renato Veiga are on the bench for Chelsea tonight. Axel Disasi has been revealed as one of the omissions, along with Carney Chukwuemeka, Cesare Casadei, and Ben Chilwell. They are not even in the squad and are expected to leave.”
In preparation for this match, Maresca has made ten changes to the team that achieved a 5-0 victory over Morecambe in the FA Cup third round last weekend, with only Romeo Lavia retaining his position in the lineup. The attacking front will feature Noni Madueke, Jadon Sancho, Nicolas Jackson, and Cole Palmer.
As the Blues head into this game, they currently sit in fourth place in the league standings, having accumulated 36 points from 20 fixtures.
