EPL: Iwobi urges Fulham to move on from derby loss to West Ham

Alex Iwobi has said it is important for Fulham to move on from the London derby defeat to West Ham United.

Marco Silva’s side lost 3-2 to the Hammers at the London Stadium on Tuesday.

Iwobi scored both goals for Fulham in the thrilling encounter.

The versatile midfielder said they were disappointed not to get a positive result from the game.

“We’re all disappointed the way we lost the game, just mistakes,” he told Fulham TV.

“Had we not made the mistakes, we would have won it.

“But then there’s a game around the corner and so we cannot dwell on, so we dust ourselves and go again.

“We created so many chances and hit the post twice, but if you don’t defend as a team, you get punished in the Premier League.”

Iwobi has scored seven goals and registered three assists this season.

Fulham occupy ninth position on the table with 30 points.

The Cottagers will be away to Leicester City on Saturday.
