NPFL: Heartland, Dino Sporting club bicker over Afolayan

Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, side, Heartland and Nationwide League One (NLO) outfit, Dino Sporting Club have been embroiled in a transfer dispute over defender Peter Afolayan, Media Talk Africa reports.

Afolayan joined Heartland on loan from Dino Sporting club at the start of the 2024-25 NPFL season.

The young defender featured regularly for Heartland during the first stanza.

Heartland have declared the player missing after his refusal to resume training this week.

However, Dino Sporting Club dismissed Heartland’s claims, asserting that they had duly withdrawn the player’s services on 30 December 2024.

Dino Sporting Club stated in a memo signed by the club’s Chairman, Samuel Columbus notifying the Naze Millionaires on the player’s withdrawal.

Part of the statement reads,”This is to inform you that Dino Sporting Club owner of Afolayan Temitope Peter as of with immediate effect we are hereby withdrawing our player from your team.

“Your club have failed to meet her obligation in the proposed loan agreement.”
