NPFL: Katsina United’s Usman to undergo trial at Egyptian club Zamalek

Katsina United forward, Sadiq Abubakar Usman, is set to undergo trials with Egyptian giants Zamalek.

The Chanji Boys announced in a statement released by the club’s media officer, Nasir Gide.

According to the statement, the trial is being sponsored by the club’s chairman, Alhaji Dan’lami Rimi.

The club also revealed that if Usman does not secure a spot at Zamalek, he will have opportunities to trial with two other Egyptian clubs.

Part of the statement read: “Sadiq Abubakar Usman (Daddy Matic) of Katsina United Football Club has left for a trial at Zamalek FC in Egypt.

“The club, led by Chairman Alhaji Kabir Dan’lami Rimi, is sponsoring the player, who is one of the state’s homegrown recruits into the team.

“During his trial at Zamalek FC in Egypt, Sadiq Abubakar Usman, aka Daddy Matic, has the option of trialling with two other clubs in Egypt if he does not make it at Zamalek.”
