Trump vows to deport ‘criminal aliens’

The newly inaugurated US President, Donald Trump, has vowed to deport millions of criminal aliens who have entered the United States illegally.

Trump made this pledge during his inaugural speech on Monday, after being sworn in to succeed Joe Biden.

“All illegal entries will be immediately halted, and we will begin the process of returning millions of criminal aliens back to the places from which they came,” Trump declared in the presence of four former presidents, including Biden.

“We will reinstate my ‘Remain in Mexico’ policy,” he added, further vowing to “rename the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America.”

The 47th US president, who was sworn in alongside his deputy, JD Vance, promised that his administration would uphold religious values, declaring, “America will not forget God.” He also pledged to restore free speech across the nation.

Media Talk Africa reports that while Trump was a political outsider at his first inauguration in 2017 as the 45th president, this time he is surrounded by the nation’s wealthy and influential figures.

It was also noted that prominent figures, including the world’s richest man, Elon Musk; Meta CEO, Mark Zuckerberg; Amazon founder, Jeff Bezos; and Google CEO, Sundar Pichai, had prime seats in the Capitol alongside Trump’s family and cabinet members.
