Real Betis goalkeeper, Adrian, has urged Manchester United’s Antony to join him at the Spanish La Liga club this January transfer window.
The former Liverpool shot-stopper said Real Betis will help Antony, adding that the doors are open for the Brazilian winger to join him in Spain.
Antony has struggled to really succeed at Man United since joining the Red Devils from Ajax for £82million in 2022.
The 24-year-old has also failed to feature regularly for Ruben Amorim’s side so far this season.
Antony is said to be seeking an escape route out of Man United in search of regular playing time this month.
He has been linked with a loan move to Real Betis and Olympiacos this January.
“If the move ends up happening he will come to help the team and show the best version of himself,” Adrian told Marca when asked about the speculation surrounding Antony’s possible departure from Man United this month.
“The doors are open to him and we will be here to help him all the time.
“There is no doubt that he can contribute with the magic that he has. We saw this version of him when he was playing for Ajax.”
“He is a forward-thinking player who can dribble, who can shoot, who is brave, who is tenacious,” He added.
“Hopefully the deal can be done.”
Antony’s current contract with Man United will expire in the summer of 2027.
